Achia has over 20 years of experience, including 13 years in-house, representing technology, retail, alternative energy as well as other employers. She believes that in-house lawyers must understand and embrace corporate strategy, values and culture to be effective and impactful. Achia regularly advises C-Level, Leaders, Managers and Human Resources in all aspects of employment law such as hiring, employment agreements, protection of trade secrets and non-competition issues, equal employment opportunity, leaves of absence, wage and hour, workplace investigations, corporate restructuring, contingent worker classification, accommodating medical conditions, FLSA classifications, M&A/HR due diligence, traditional labor relations and workplace violence avoidance.
