Deputy General Counsel
Harvey Anderson joined HP in June 2017 as Deputy General Counsel, Personal Systems, 3D Printing, Global Functions and Government Relations (GR). Harvey has over 25 years of experience in public policy, regulatory compliance, corporate/commercial transactions and IP litigation. He has counseled leading global Internet, security, and communications companies in private and public company settings. Most recently he served as the Chief Legal Officer of AVG Technologies, and prior to that he spent six years as the Chief Legal Officer of Mozilla. Throughout his career, Harvey has focused on public affairs issues, most notably launching the “Do Not Track” privacy initiative; serving on the FCC’s Open Internet Advisory Committee; and running various political action committees and corporate political contributions programs. Harvey has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Marquette University and a Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law. Harvey is based in Palo Alto, California. He lives in Piedmont, California with his family. He is an avid surfer, enjoys film and political-economic history.
